Rencontres Audiovisuelles launches a call for applications open to emerging international artists for a creation residency focused on immersive video mapping at L’hybride in Lille.
The venue is equipped with 18 HD video projectors, a 13.2 sound system, and a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) interaction system.
Alongside a cultural programme aimed at the general public, L’hybride positions itself as a key platform for the video mapping sector, promoting experimentation, research, and professional development among regional and international artists, particularly through training courses and creation residencies.

PROJECT
The residency focuses on the development of an immersive video mapping work.
It is possible to adapt an existing work, as long as the rights are secured.

3 types of residencies are offered:
Writing residency: 2 weeks of mentored residency to start a project (writing, refining the artistic project, and preparing for the production phase).
Immersive visual creation residency: flexible duration (up to 5 months), with the work finalised for showing at L’hybride.
Immersive sound creation residency: flexible duration (up to 3 months), with finalisation of the work for showing at L’hybride.
For these last two residencies, visual artists and sound artists may submit a joint application for a collaborative project.

• Applications must be submitted by 29 May 2026.
• Decisions will be sent by the end of June 2026.
