On the occasion of the opening of the Video Mapping Festival #2, Rencontres Audiovisuelles and the DeVisu laboratory of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France offer IBSIC, an annual event dedicated to the video mapping industry, in the presence of international great names in the sector.
Meetings, conferences, case studies, projections… 35 professional speakers will share their experiences and analyse the various aspects of this new sector which is growing significantly (writing, technology, training, production, economic models, projection, etc.).
Networking times will also be provided to meet artists, producers, programmers, etc.

Xavi Bové – artist (Spain)
Xavi Bové is a visual composer, artistic director and professor. He directs audiovisual projects where art and technology go hand in hand, and where the image maintains a close link with music. His work is characterised by a sensitive approach to a wide range of fields: live music, live visuals, video art pieces and performing arts.
In recent years, he has specialised in video mapping and light projects. He has directed and worked on various projects on an international scale and has participated in several festivals around the world. He has also been the artistic director of the International Mapping Festival of Girona. He has recently won the Emerging Artist Prize by El Mundo, and the Pinzell de Cuixart Award by Cuixart Foundation.

Bettina Pelz – curator (Germany)
Over the last 20 years, the curatorial work of Bettina Pelz has been dedicated to art-in-context projects encompassing curatorial missions, as well as art production, art mediation and audience development. Her transdisciplinary projects are hosted in art institutions and in public space, in postindustrial environments and cultural heritage environments. She has been one of the founding curators of several sustainable art projects in Europe and Africa. Since 2000, she focuses her curatorial research and practice around light as a material, a tool and a media in fine arts. In addition, she has been working as an academic teacher on professionalisation of the arts since 1996 at the University of the Arts of Bremen, amongst others.
