Micro mapping on a tree of the Rue du Réduit created by Soetkin VERSTEGEN (Belgique) during a creation residency at Arenberg Creative Mine, as part of the Video Mapping Festival #2

Using ice sculptures and textures found in frozen lakes, the tree on Rue du Réduit turns into a fragile, melting body. The light rays fall on the bark and pierce through like X-rays, reveal it’s ghostly insides. Botanic and human-like shapes weave into breakable bones, flowing veins and quavery sinews. Decaying and breathing, disappearing and growing back.
