The Video Mapping Festival offers a two-day seminary in Arenberg Creative Mine, dealing with a state of play of the discipline. Round tables, case studies, conferences, technical demonstrations form the pattern of the event, in order to depict video mapping from every angle.

Research Conference 2

Video mapping and narrative: from performance to “experienciality”, by Philippe Useille
Based on several research works linking visual arts, narratives and music, it will be question of understanding – in an exploratory manner – how video mapping can be interrogated as a narrative elaborated on the audience’s very experience.
Philippe Useille, lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at the DeVisu laboratory (University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis), studies the emerging forms and writings of information, at the crossroads of the contemporary media cultures.
