Research Conference 4

Serious Mapping: video mapping systems with a cultural and educational vocation, by Bruno Monpère
Feedback on the “Digital Craftsman” programme.
Video mapping is used here as a medium for the broadcasting of the Digital Repertoire of the Handcrafted Gesture, a cartography of the “Crafts” gestures. It will thus be a matter of evocating the homothety of the micro-action and the patrimonialization of ordinary skills through the action’s change of scenery. Lastly, video mapping, when used in school environment, becomes a tool for testimony, interaction and self-control.
Bruno Monpère is Head of Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat of Tarn-et-Garonne, and of the programme “Digital Craftsman”. He is in charge of the educational engineering and a part of the teaching of the “Artisan Designer” Bachelors’ Degree, developed with the Institute of Design of the University of Toulouse 2.
