Video Mapping Seminary

Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd of March
Arenberg Creative Mine, Wallers-Arenberg

The Video Mapping Festival offers a two-day seminary in Arenberg Creative Mine, dealing with a state of play of the discipline. Round tables, case studies, conferences, technical demonstrations form the pattern of the event, in order to depict video mapping from every angle.

Case study 2

After having tried to establish a state of play of production, creation, and screening of the discipline, let’s talk about specific examples! In the form of a conference, three representatives of cultural projects expose their experience in the staging of concrete video mapping projects.

Karol Rakowski (Poland), initiator of the Omicron project at the Centennial Hall in Wrocław
For over ten years, the VJ artist and multimedia director Karol Rakowski has been performing for all of the music festivals in Poland, working with artists such Skalpel (Ninja Tune). In the theatre, he worked with Krystian Lupa, Jan Klata and many more. Also, he is an Art Director at Wrocław Multimedia Fountain. He worked with Brian Eno on the multimedia project. He was also responsible for the visual effects in the movie Rabbit à la Berlin, which was nominated at the Oscars.
The work Omicron, ordered by the Centennial Hall in Wrocław, was created by Romain Tardy and Thomas Vaquié, who is one of the speaker of the round table 3.
