Video mapping created for the Video Mapping Contest 2024 organised by Rencontres Audiovisuelles as part of the Video Mapping Festival #7.

“In the current social context in which the world is currently, I felt the need of escapism through art. I opted to approach this work by using magical elements and by speaking to the raw authentic human spirit. It is important to me that I created a story that elevates a common feeling in all of us: every individual is being isolated in society, and is living into a world that is unnatural and unintuitive for human nature to thrive in. The common element that unconsciously binds us is our folklore.
Folk, myths and legends are a product of our collective spirit of ancient origins, and through this magical lens, the most authentic characteristics of humans come to the surface. I chose to illustrate the slavic folklore in my work because it is the most authentic for me.”
