Video mapping on the facade of the Voix du Nord, created by Paulina Zybinska and Jelle Van Meerendonk (The Netherlands) during a 4-week creation residency at Arenberg Creative Mine, in February and March 2018.

The history of the press and of the most famous northern daily newspaper, told by two Dutch artists from the animation film sector.

“We decided to make a video mapping that follows the story of La Voix du Nord from its construction till present days. We want to familiarize the audience with the importance of the building in the resistance movement during World War II. The mapping will be a combination of 3D and 2D animation, which helps us to combine figurative and metaphorical elements of the story.” Paulina Zybinska and Jelle Van Meerendonk
