Video mapping made during a creation residency organised by Rencontres Audiovisuelles / Video Mapping European Center as part of the Video Mapping Festival #7.
▶︎ TRANSVERBERATION
The name of this project derives from the words “transmutation” and “reverberation”, but it is also the title of a painting by Jakob Van Oost (Transverbération de Sainte Thérèse, 1679), present inside the church. From a visual point of view, it results in the superposition of contemporary linear and sharp structures, elaborated in an abstract manner on the stone architecture of the church. These elements with their own depths, are in continuous movement, like an organism/machine that produces with its own voice, sounds derived from mechanisms like if they were prayers locked in technological matter. From a musical point of view, the timbrics vary from sounds of electrostatic electricity, to flows of crystals held together by distant reverberations of organs mixed with voices and noises coming from the cities.
